Radio: Cisco's Visual Networking Index Forecast

Earlier this month, telecommunications equipment giant, Cisco Systems, announced the results of its annual Visual Networking Index Forecast, a study that it has designed in order to estimate global Internet Protocol (IP) traffic growth. Among other things, the study found that global IP traffic will increase fivefold from 2008 to 2013; that, by 2013, the sum of all forms of video (TV, VOD, Internet video and P2P)
will exceed 90% of global consumer IP traffic; that video communications traffic (video over instant messaging and video calls) will increase tenfold from 2008 to 2013; and that almost 64% of the world's mobile data traffic will be video in 2013.

In this recorded episode of [itvt]'s talk radio show, "The TV of Tomorrow Show with Tracy Swedlow," Arielle Sumits, a senior market analyst at Cisco, and Usha Andra, a market analyst at the company, discuss the new Cisco VNI Forecast in depth.
