US cable MSO, Charter Communications (note: the company recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but says that its operations will be unaffected), announced Monday that it is adding a number of NBC primetime shows--including "30 Rock," "Heroes," "The Office," "Law and Order SVU," "Celebrity Apprentice," "Friday Night Lights" and "The Biggest Loser"--to its VOD line-up. According to the company, NBC primetime programming will be available free-of-charge to all its VOD-enabled customers by the end of the month: most shows will appear on the service within 12 hours of their original broadcast, Charter says, and will be available for varying lengths of time.
