Ustream to Offer Live, Interactive Coverage of "Avatar" Premiere, Golden Globe Nominations

Live Internet broadcast service provider, Ustream (note: the company recently announced the availability of a Ustream Live Broadcaster iPhone app in the iTunes App Store--see the article published on itvt.com, December 10th), contacted [itvt] Monday to let us know that it will be powering live, interactive feeds of today's (Tuesday) Golden Globes nominations and tomorrow's (Wednesday) premiere of the new James Cameron movie, "Avatar."

Universal Taps Boxee to Develop Promotional Interactive TV Application for "The Fourth Kind"

--App Illustrates How Boxee Can Monetize its Platform through Branded Interactive Apps

Over-the-top-TV specialist, Boxee, has been tapped by Universal to develop a promotional Boxee app for its new alien-themed movie, "The Fourth Kind," which opens in theaters this Friday.

Universal Integrates Blu-ray Interactive Features with iPhone, iPod touch

--Also Plans to Integrate New Blu-ray Releases with Twitter and Facebook

Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced Monday that it plans to provide an "extensive array" of iPhone and iPod touch-enabled features on its upcoming Blu-ray releases. The features will be accessed via companion applications that will be available through the Apple App Store, the company says.
