Radio [itvt]: Rentrak Corporate President, Cathy Hetzel, on the Company's Acquisition of Kantar Media

Earlier this month, measurement company Rentrak announced a deal with WPP that will see it purchasing Kantar Media's U.S. TV measurement business for $98 million in stock. Rentrak also announced that WPP-owned media-buying company, GroupM, will use its national and local TV data, and that WPP will purchase $56 million of Rentrak stock.

In this recorded interview with [itvt] editor-in-chief, Tracy Swedlow, Rentrak corporate president, Cathy Hetzel, explains the significance of the Kantar acquisition and the company's other deals with WPP, and shares her thoughts on the future of the TV measurement space.

AT&T AdWorks recently announced a partnership with comScore that will allow it to measure the effectiveness of its ad campaigns by anonymously linking data on subscribers' exposure to commercials on AT&T U-verse to online and in-store purchase behavior.

Radio [itvt]: Interview - Lingospot and SeeSpace Team Up for "Augmented TV"

Lingospot, a provider of automatic scene-level TV metatags and metacontent, last week announced a partnership with "augmented TV" company, SeeSpace. The latter has developed an ACR-enabled device dubbed InAiR, which, when connected via HDMI between a TV and a set-top box, enhances programming with what the company describes as "a rich, dynamic and animated viewer experience using the main TV screen as well as the space between the screen and the viewer" (the experience is designed to work on 2D, 3D and 4K TV's).
