--New Version of iPhone Remote for Roku Launches
NBC Universal's financial news channel, CNBC, has become the latest broadcaster to launch a free, interactive application for the Apple iPhone/iPod touch. Dubbed the CNBC Real-Time App, the app is billed as providing:
- Real-time stock quotes before, during and after market hours (4:00AM-8:00PM Eastern), directly from both the NYSE and NASDAQ.
- Real-time interactive and historical charts, offering custom timeframes from one day to five years, and including pre- and post-market trading.
- Company-specific news, videos, profiles, returns and key metrics.
- Push notifications that alert users to critical business news breaking around the world.
- Regularly updated stock market news, top stories, instant analysis and opinion.
- A "My Stocks" feature that lets users set up and track their favorite company stocks live, in real time, with access to integrated charts and relevant news headlines.
- Information on the top stocks for each day that are being followed and discussed on CNBC.
- 24/7 live futures pricing with key pre-market indicators.
- Analysis of the stocks that are driving the movement of the Down Jones Industrial Average.
- Global stock indexes, currencies, commodities and bonds with historical treasury yield curves.
- Over 150 new video clips each day, including news reports from CNBC and NBC and interviews from CNBC.
