The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group has issued a call for entries for the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media. The deadline for entries is April 29th.

Entries can be submitted online at http://www.emmys.tv/awards/63rd-primetime-emmy-awards, and additional entry and eligibility information is available at http://www.emmys.tv/interactive. This year, eligible entries include the associated interactive media components of a Drama Program or Series, Comedy Program or Series, Made-for-Television Movie, Miniseries, Dramatic Special, Reality Program or Series, Reality Competition Program or Series, Variety Comedy or Music Program or Series, or Nonfiction Program or Series.

The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards for Interactive Media will recognize creative excellence in interactive programs or series that were commercially deployed between June 1st, 2010 and May 31st, 2011. This year, the Television Academy says, all entries will be submitted into a single area of competition and each entry will "compete on its own merit against all other interactive media entries": one or more Interactive Media Emmys may be awarded.

The Interactive Media Peer Group membership at large will select nominees from all eligible entries, and the nominees will be announced at 5:35AM Pacific on Thursday, July 14th. Then, a Blue Ribbon Panel of Interactive Media Peer Group members will select the winners. The winners will be announced in September at the Creative Arts Awards Ceremony and/or the Primetime Emmy Awards telecast, the Television Academy says.
