Fox Confirms that "American Idol" Will Offer Facebook-Powered Online Voting

--Viewers to Select Ending for "American Idol" Judge Jennifer Lopez's New Music Video
Fox Broadcasting confirmed Friday that the reality show, " American Idol ," will allow Facebook -powered online voting, starting Tuesday, March 1st immediately after the show's first performance episode (airs 8:00-9:30PM, Eastern/Pacific). News of the development was broken by Entertainment Weekly last week (see the article published on itvt.com, February 25th); while People separately reported that Simon Cowell's new reality show, "The X-Factor," will also shortly offer voting via Facebook.
