Ericsson Powers VOD for Portuguese Cable Operator, Cabovisao

--Provides OTT Interactive TV Solution for Singaporean Media Company, MediaCorp
Ericsson said Monday that it has been tapped by Portuguese cable operator, Cabovisao , to power its VOD service. "We recognize that consumer behavior is changing and they are demanding more flexible television services," Alexandre Fonseca, Cabovisao's executive director of technology and systems said in a prepared statement. "Video-on-demand presents a significant opportunity for us to provide the viewing experience that our subscribers are increasingly looking for, so we are delighted to work with Ericsson for this important deployment. The Ericsson solution proved to be flexible and very cost-effective."
