Video: OEDN's Academic Outreach Activities

OEDN TV - Ball State University's Center for Media Design talks about OEDN & ITV dev tools

[itvt] would like to alert our readers to two videos that were recently posted to YouTube by Will Kreth, senior director of advanced video strategy at Time Warner Cable and founder of OEDN.net (note: the name is an acronym for "OCAP/EBIF Developer Network), an organization which is attempting to drive application development efforts using the US cable industry's OCAP/tru2way and EBIF middleware standards and whose backers include Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Charter and Bright House.

In the first video embedded above, Mike Bloxham of Ball State University's Center for Media Design talks about working with OEDN to bring interactive TV tools from Ensequence and TVWorks to enable students to develop ITV and cross-platform interactive apps.

In the second video, NYU's Professor Shawn Van Every talks about how his students recently built EBIF apps using TVWorks' XDK--a first in the US for OEDN's Academic Outreach Program.
