Here is the second of two round-ups of recent interactive TV news stories:

  • Ensequence has upgraded its iTV Manager product, a Web-based platform that allows programmers to create, manage, update and deploy interactive programming. More.
  • Look for NBC, ABC, CBS, MTV, BrightRoll and Tremor Media to begin adding interactivity to Internet video pre-roll ads using a new "iRoll" app from Innovid. The app allows media buyers to add several interactive functions to pre-roll spots, including Facebook sharing, coupon downloads and store locators. More.
  • AT&T has struck a deal with Music Choice to offer the latter's SWRV interactive music network to U-verse TV subscribers, along with 46 Music Choice stations. More.
  • DirecTV appears to be the only pay-TV provider using an interactive mosaic channel to cover the 2011 Masters Tournament. Its "Masters Mix Channel" will offer six views from Augusta National Golf Club, including the feeds from ESPN and CBS, two channels following featured groups, and Amen Corner (holes 15 and 16). More.
  • Showtime Networks has named interactive marketing veteran, Don Buckley, SVP of digital services, where he'll oversee the premium network's broadband, mobile and interactive TV initiatives. Buckley, who reports to EVP Len Fogge, joins the premium network after a stint at interactive marketing company THAi. He also worked previously at Warner Bros. Online.
