Deadline for Submissions to Breakaway Video Contest Extended to Midnight, Tuesday May 10th

--Winner Receives iPad 2, Two Free Passes to TVOT, and a Free PR Campaign from Breakaway Communications

[itvt] and our exclusive PR partner, Breakaway Communications, are offering an iPad 2, a publicity campaign and two free passes to the TV of Tomorrow 2011 (TVOT) conference (or to a future TVOT show, if you are already attending TVOT 2011) to the winner of the first Breakaway Video Contest.

The contest challenges you to provide short video clips interpreting/answering the question: "What is Interactive TV?" The deadline has been extended to May 10th to give entrants additional time to prepare their submissions. Click here for more details and rules and regulations.
Entering the contest is simple. All that is required is a video clip--no longer than one minute in length--that in some way addresses the question, "What is Interactive TV?" High production values are not necessarily key to winning--simply "wow" the audience with your creativity.

Entries will be judged based on their ability to effectively express the concept of interactivity. While entries do not need to be "interactive" in the literal sense, bonus points will be added to those who choose true interactive approaches. Otherwise, basic linear videos are absolutely accepted and encouraged.

A panel of industry luminaries will select the most creative and thought-provoking videos as finalists, and these videos will be screened during TVOT 2011. The Grand Prize winner--who will be awarded an iPad 2, 2 tickets to the TVOT Conference, and a full-blown public relations campaign--will be announced during TVOT on May 18th.
