John Gilles Joins Coincident TV

Interactive video technology provider Coincident TV named cable TV and Internet veteran John Gilles executive vice president of sales and marketing and general manager of Coincident Studios

The former general manager of San Francisco-based studio Code and Theory, Gilles specializes in new product development, programming development, content production and digital content business strategy for several top media companies, including Fox, Warner Bros., Comcast, Time Warner, Electronic Arts, PBS, BBC, CNN and AOL. Previously, he was global VP of media and entertainment at design agency Method, where his clients included Samsung, PBS, Showtime, Electronic Arts and Microsoft

Gilles is the 2011 co-chair of the Emmy Awards Committee for the Interactive Media Peer Group of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

Coincident TV focuses on merging online video, social media and commercial transactions in interactive content. Last year, the company was nominated for an Interactive Emmy for its "Glee Superfan Experience," an interactive video player it created for hit Fox primetime show "Glee."
