  • Digital video networking specialist BigBand Networks said it will demonstrate several products focused on helping cable operators with multiplatform distribution next week at The Cable Show convention in Chicago. Its demos will include targeted advertising that can be delivered to multiple screens, enhanced TV capabilities and the delivery of linear TV and VOD programming to IP-connected devices. More
  • Online video platform provider Ooyala said it is teaming up with video advertising company YuMe which to allow Ooyala customers to use YuMe's monetization and yield optimization service. Before the integration, Ooyala customers had to sign separately with YuMe in order to monetize their content through the firm. Ooyala said the deal makes YuMe's ad inventory to all of its premium account holders. More
  • London-based TV Genius launched a Twitter analysis system that tracks the top-20 TV shows in the UK each night, based on the number of comments programs receive from users on the social network. TV Genius said content owners, broadcasters and distributors could also use the service to deliver social TV recommendations, alert viewers in real-time when a show generates buzz on Twitter.  More
