TVOT Hackathon 2013 Recap

[itvt] is pleased to present PHOTOS and a VIDEO from the first-ever tvot^ Hackathon, which took place June 22nd-23rd at the offices of Ignite Video in San Francisco--the actual building where Philo Farnsworth invented electronic television.

The winner of the Hackathon's $5,000 Grand Prize was "Showdown" (a.k.a. "Time Pressure"), by Mat Tyndall. The runners-up were "Hubble," by Tanvir Ahmed and Gaurav Soni; and "Iron Man," by Mark Xie and Ethan Fan.

TVOT teamed with Gracenote, Ignite Video and Mashery to organize the Hackathon, along with sponsors from some the most influential companies shaping the TV of tomorrow, including, Dolby (Grand Prize Sponsor), PayPal, DirecTV, Dish Network, CableLabs, Samsung Developers, Leap Motion, Nuance Communications, TMS, LG Electronics, Pemberley Digital ("The Lizzie Bennet Diaries"), Sony, zeebox, Tierra IT, and more.
