Univision Interactive Media , the digital arm of US-based Spanish-language broadcaster, Univision Communications, has launched a sports scoreboard app, called Univision Marcador, in the Apple App store. Designed for the iPhone and iPod touch, the free app is billed as providing real-time scores and stats of games and matches from top soccer leagues and other sports. According to Univision, it is the first in a series of apps targeted at sports enthusiasts that it plans to release for all the major smartphone and tablet platforms.
