The Friday Fireside welcomes Mark Aitken, Sinclair SVP and President of ONE Media. Mark is one of the strongest voices (and sharpest minds) behind NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0), and when he talks about the pending conversion from the current standard (ATSC 1.0) to the new IP-based standard, we listen. It’s the technology, to be sure. But it’s also distributing content over Broadcast Television that will encourage viewers to get off the couch and plug in the dongle (or puck) that will enable ATSC 3.0.
