Talk Back to Television welcomes Jeff Dallesandro, VP of Partner Growth and Distribution at Dick’s Sporting Goods. We all remember Jeff from his long stint at HBO, followed by SiriusXM. But in the Good Doctor’s opinion, Jeff is having a ball at Dick’s Sporting Goods, but he’s not selling baseballs! But what he IS doing is working the strategic investment Dick’s Sporting Goods made with Unrivaled Sports—the growing network of youth sports venues and programming. And with television’s accelerating interest in sports, the hunger for new sports content (including youth sports), the importance of the youth audience and thousands of “kids” walking about high school gymnasiums with iPhones (creating content), I think Jeff is right at the point of a very sharp spear. And yes, you CAN buy a javelin at Dick’s Sporting Goods!
