Televisionation—Talk Back to Television: Hub’s Jon Giegengack on Creator Media

As a follow-up to our show with creator media Wunderkind, Braden Blacker, this week’s episode of Talk Back to Television features Jon Giegengack from Hub Entertainment Research Jon and I dig into the audience appeal of creator media, and the degree of distrust that the GenZ audience has for “Big Media” productions. As it turns out, a sports-centered show shot on an iPhone in a school gymnasium is more appealing to the GenZ audience than a slick ESPN-style production. I have visions of an explosion of recreational soccer games on air, produced (literally) “on the cheap.” And as the head of our local Rec Council, that ain’t a bad thing.
