Founded in 2006, Montreal-based social-video company, WatchMojo, has produced over 32,000 videos and has attracted nearly 26 million subscribers on YouTube alone. The company is best known for its highly creative listicle videos—ranging, just over the past month, from “Top 10 Cringiest Pop Culture Moments Ever” to “10 Normal People Who Saved Others from Serial Killers.”
In this fireside chat with Marissa Nelson, VP of Client Solutions at Magid, WatchMojo Co-Founder and CEO, Ashkan Karbasfrooshan, will outline the reasons for the company’s success in the crowded social-video space, and will share his strategic vision for WatchMojo as a major social-video player going forward. Questions to be addressed include: How YouTube-centric is that vision? What audience- building and monetization strategies is WatchMojo embracing beyond YouTube? What other platforms—including, for example, CTV—will be key to the company’s growth? And what role, if any, will AI play in its future development?
