Televisionation: Halsey Minor’s New Video Platform

ITVT is pleased to present another episode of “Televisionation,” our new video/audio podcast exploring the advanced/interactive-TV industry in the Coronavirus/Covid-19 Era. This episode features Halsey Minor, founder/co-founder/investor (CNET, Salesforce, Google Voice, OpenDNS, Vignette…), who is now CEO of next-generation media and telecom infrastructure company, Live Planet: the latter’s new service platform, VideoCoin Network, launched today. According to the company, it significantly reduces the cost of encoding and distributing video content by drawing on “all unused storage and hardware across American businesses, eliminating the cost for hardware engineering and IT support.” The platform, which is now commercially available, competes with Amazon’s AWS offering.
