ITVT/TVOT and nScreenMedia are pleased to present video highlights of our most recent TVOT CONNECT session, which took place last Thursday (July 11th). Entitled “Fair Use or Abuse? Gen-AI-LLMs and Your Content,” the session featured Holly Leff-Pressman, Chief Client Engagement Officer at Screen Engine/ASI, and Daniel Goldberg, Chair of the Privacy and Data Security Group at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, in conversation with nScreenMedia Chief Analyst, Colin Dixon, and ITVT Editor-in-Chief, Tracy Swedlow.

The conversation centered around the ethical and legal implications of AI technology in the entertainment industry. Speakers discussed the need for regulations to balance privacy and innovation, emphasizing the importance of understanding the regulatory landscape in the context of AI. They also highlighted the challenges of managing intellectual property, data security, and the potential impact of AI-generated content on human creativity. The speakers emphasized the need for careful consideration and collaboration to ensure that technological innovation in the entertainment industry is done in a way that respects intellectual property rights.

About TVOT CONNECT:

TVOT CONNECT is a new, online, TV-industry membership community from ITVT/TVOT and nScreenMedia that aims to encourage conversation, debate, networking and collaboration across all sectors of the advanced-TV space. The membership fee is $40 per month; however, the initial sessions are being offered to ITVT and nScreenMedia readers free of charge (visit our membership page here).

TVOT CONNECT sessions take place on Thursdays at 2:00PM Eastern/11:00AM Pacific using Zoom. Members first have an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves, their current work and their areas of expertise; this is followed by an interview with one or more prominent industry leaders, featuring audience Q&A; finally, members are able to access discussion rooms where they can share their thoughts on the day’s interview and network with their peers.
In addition, one session per month features the presentation of new, original research by Colin Dixon, Founder and Chief Analyst of nScreenMedia.
